Kirin - WIP

To stave off the boredom between ceramics classes, I sculpted this little girl. I'd wanted to do a kirin for a very long time, so I broke out one of the old Breyer horse models I obtained in my youth for reference and started in. I'd gotten about three-quarters done with her when I realized, holy crap, I'm going to have to give her *scales.*

I like her a lot, considering I had to improvise and try a lot of things I'd never done in polymer clay before. She still needs to be painted (hence the zombie-eyes), and she may or may not get a base of some kind to keep her on her feet.

She's about 4 1/2 inches long and about 6 1/4 inches tall to the tip of the horn. Polymer clay, foil, and wire.
